Clinical Application Of Interventional Vascular Surgery
Interventional Vascular Surgery is a department that treats vascular diseases through interventional minimally invasive methods. It has a wide range, including Arterial Diseases, Venous Diseases, Congenital Vascular Malformations, Immunogenic Diseases and Tumor Diseases.
Arterial disease include Intracranial Aneurysm, Carotid Artery Stenosis, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Lower Limb Arteriosclerosis Occlusion and etc.
Venous Diseases include Varix of Lower Limb, DVT, PE, and Congenital Vascular Malformations.Tumor Metastasis Embolization or Tumor Interventional Chemotherapy are both categories of interventional vascular treatment.
Interventional equipments and materials are required in this process. Interventional devices generally refer to Digital Substraction Angiography System(DSA), which can be applied to the diagnosis of blood vessels in the following areas:
1. The blood vessels of the head and neck
DSA technology has great diagnostic value in cerebrovascular diseases and brain tumors. It is mainly used to check the origin of the carotid artery, the origin of the artery, the internal neck, the external neck, the vertebral artery system, and the basilar artery system. The accuracy, sensitivity, and scientificity of its diagnosis are all high.
2. Thoracic vascular system
DSA technology can be used for imaging of the heart and surrounding large blood vessels, and the aortic arch and aorta can be displayed more clearly. It can be used to diagnose aortic dissecting aneurysm and show the scope of aortic arteritis.
3. Abdominal vascular system
DSA technology is used to display the following parts: abdominal aorta, renal artery, celiac artery, superior mesenteric artery, superior mesenteric vein, abdominal artery stenosis, atherosclerosis. This technique is currently widely used in clinical angiography of liver and kidney and other important arteriography.
4. The vascular system of the extremities
DSA technology can diagnose the obstruction and stenosis of the trunk arteries and branches, and can accurately diagnose the patient's aneurysms and various arterial malformations.
5. Interventional Radiology Applications
DSA technology is used for real-time and specific display of the direction of catheters and guide wires in the patient's arteries, providing a scientific reference basis for interventional physicians to accurately draw the guide wires. It is also helpful for many interventional operations such as bleeding lesions, malformed blood vessel blockage, tumor blood vessels, local drug injection, intracavitary angioplasty and other specific operations.
